Another graduation! We are so lucky when parents take part in these important events and join in our activities. The children love it when their family comes to visit The Happy Hive so we have an open door policy. Parents and Carers are always welcome to come and watch their child at work and play, and see the kinds of things we do.
How lucky we were when one of our Grandparents very kindly agreed to come in and demonstrate how to make an authentic vegetable curry! The children helped to chop the vegetables and watched as the onions, garlic and ginger were ground up to make the sauce. As the spices were added we all enjoyed the wonderful aromas. The finished result was AMAZING and now we are hoping to learn more recipes!
We have regular coffee mornings or afternoon tea, so that parents and grandparents can see what we do in The Happy Hive, and children can explain upcoming events.
We love having grandparents visit! Children love it too! Grandparents are so skilled at playing alongside the children and joining in our activities. Nanny's work is never done!
Parents Playing a Part
Parents are invited in for breakfast and to see the things their child is learning. We have coffee mornings every six weeks or so with the school nurse, community link worker and parents so we can discuss successes or any things that parents are worried about. Parents come on trips with us too.
