The pupils were fascinated with the many marine species found around our coastline, especially the shark eggs!
This is a model of a full-sized leatherback turtle. Its favourite food is jellyfish.

Matt explained how turtles think that plastic bags look like jellyfish. They eat them, they get caught in their stomachs making them feel full and then they starve to death.
There are now only 7 species of turtle that can be found in our waters of which the leatherback is the most common.
When divers spot a turtle this is the sign they make.
